Our Operations Specialized palliative care at Akademiska Hospital is conducted within the Palliative Care operational area, which consists of the Department of Specialized Home Care (ASH), Specialized Palliative Care Unit (SPVA), Palliative Consultation Team (PKT), and a Palliative Outpatient Clinic. ASH operates in both Uppsala and Tierp (Norduppland) and is tasked with providing specialized palliative home care. The ASH team cares for patients with various diagnoses and of different ages, and sometimes also children who need specialized palliative care in their own homes or in residential facilities. This position is at the Palliative Center and will primarily be based in Norduppland, but may also include service in Uppsala. Your Assignment As a nurse at ASH, you work in a multidisciplinary team with seriously ill patients in their homes. You are responsible primarily for specialized nursing care and specialized interventions such as advanced symptom management with, for example, infusions, injections, medication pumps, spinal pain relief, various drains, and support for family members. Your Qualifications You are a registered nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. It is meriting if you have further training in palliative care or experience in palliative care, but it is not required. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. A driver's license (B category) is required. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Your Competencies You can work independently, in a structured manner, and are flexible. We appreciate if you also have strong collaboration skills, empathetic abilities, and are proactive. What We Offer Permanent employment at 100%.
