JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Facilities Technician, you will work operatively with the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the municipality's properties. You have an important role in ensuring that our facilities function properly in daily operations and that planned measures are carried out. The work is varied and practically oriented, where you are responsible for addressing faults, performing maintenance, and ensuring that the properties maintain good function and standards. You work closely with the operations and are an important contact in daily operations. Examples of work tasks: • Handle and address fault reports and orders • Supervision, rounds, and ongoing maintenance • Work with fire-related matters (supervision, minor measures, etc.) • Maintenance of ventilation and heating systems • Minor building repairs and simple maintenance work You work in close collaboration with operations technicians, who have overall responsibility for planning, follow-up, and development of facility operations. Your role focuses on performing, addressing, and ensuring that planned work is carried out according to plan. You will be part of the Department of Municipal Infrastructure and the unit Green Areas and Properties, which currently consists of a property manager, facility manager/supervisor, operations technician/assistant supervisor, and service personnel. You report to the property manager who has overall responsibility for the unit. Within the department, we work closely with the units Water & Sewage, Roads, and Waste Management, as well as Planning and Building. The position includes being part of the municipality's on-call group with on-call/standby duty for one week at a time according to a rotating schedule. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with upper secondary education in facility management or equivalent. You thrive in a practical and varied role where you can use both your technical understanding and problem-solving skills in daily work. You have experience working in facility maintenance, technology, or similar practical professions. It is an advantage if you have knowledge in areas such as plumbing, ventilation, heating, or electrical work. You have comprehensive knowledge and are experienced in working with practical tasks of varying technical nature. As a person, you are: • Independent and responsible • Solution-oriented and practically minded • Service-oriented and good at collaborating • Structured in planning and following up your work • You have the ability to take own initiatives and see what needs to be done, while also contributing to creating order and organization in daily work • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written B-class driver's license is required. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent. Work time: Daytime. The position is a permanent employment at 100%. A probationary period may be applied during the initial 6 months. Ödeshögs Municipality applies individual salary setting.
