Welcome to us We are now seeking a teacher who wants to work in physics, chemistry, biology, technology, and possibly mathematics at the middle school level. Skarpatorpsskolan is located in the Skarpnäck district and has a total of approximately 560 students and 100 staff members. The school is divided into two buildings, one for lower grades and adapted primary education, and one for middle and upper grades. The school has three parallel classes in lower grades and two parallel classes in middle and upper grades. Skarpatorpsskolan is located close to the Skarpnäck subway station and has several bus lines from different parts of Stockholm. It is easy to get to school. What we offer We are now looking for a teacher who is certified in physics, chemistry, biology, technology, and possibly mathematics. Additional merit with certification in mathematics. Teachers have subject team meetings once a week where teaching and knowledge development are discussed. Topics covered include systematic quality work, equitable assessment, language-developing work methods, clear pedagogy, and digital competence. Co-assessment is conducted in staff meetings at least once a month. Your role You will teach physics, biology, chemistry, and technology at the middle school level and serve as a mentor for a class. Together with your subject colleagues, you will conduct high-quality instruction, continuously test and develop methods, and work purposefully to develop students' learning and improve results. Your skills and experience You hold a teaching license. You are subject-certified in physics, biology, chemistry, and technology for grades 7-9. Additional merit with certification in mathematics. You have experience with assessment and quality instruction at the middle school level. You should have an inquiry-based approach in your teaching. You have fluent Swedish skills in speech and writing. You are experienced working with various digital platforms such as Teams, DigiExam, etc. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. To work at our schools, you must provide a valid extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register before an employment offer is made. Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Terms (AB).
