As part of the cultural school's mission, all music instruction in elementary school grades 1-9 at our 4 elementary schools is conducted through the cultural school. The cultural school staff works closely together on all matters related to elementary school. In order to create safety and a good study environment and to give all students the best possible conditions to reach their goals, we organize most classes with resource teachers. The cultural school in Säter operates in a way where you as staff are involved in decision-making processes regarding operational development and organizational matters, which places high demands on commitment, responsibility, and participation. Since you will work at different schools, you need good social competence and be an organized, flexible person with good structure in your work who enjoys collaborating with colleagues. Your teaching is characterized by an inclusive approach based on research and proven experience, and you continuously develop your methods and approaches. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES Your main task is to work together with the music teacher in class music in elementary school. You will sometimes teach half-classes and will then have group responsibility. You will plan together with the music teacher regarding the structure of instruction and collaborate on assessment and grading. When the music teacher is absent, you serve as a substitute music teacher. If there is capacity, the position may also include some instruction in the cultural school's voluntary programs depending on the applicant's qualifications and the organization's needs. QUALIFICATIONS You are trained as a music teacher or have other equivalent pedagogical training in music. You have experience working in elementary school grades 1-9. It is meritorious if you have experience leading choirs and singing as well as if you can lead pop and rock groups/ensembles. You have good IT skills and are accustomed to working with student management systems. A class B driver's license is required as you will work at multiple schools. Experience working with students with special needs and functional variations is meritorious. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy and respect. You are unpretentious and acknowledge and reward others' contributions. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and roles. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. Employment Type: Fixed-term contract. Fixed-term employment (temporary position) August-December.
