Music Teacher/Instrumental Teacher Would you like to be part of creating instruction where music becomes a path to community, creativity, and learning? At Kyrkbacksskolan, we are now seeking an engaged and relationship-building music teacher/instrumental teacher who wants to inspire students and contribute to their musical development. This is a combination position at 100%, where 50% consists of teaching music to grades 6–9 in primary school and 50% of instrumental instruction within our music program. We believe that good instruction begins in relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who wants to make a difference by building trusting relationships, awakening curiosity, and creating a desire to learn. You are a clear pedagogical leader who creates structure, security, and participation while inspiring students to develop based on their own abilities. About the Position In one part of the position (50%), you are responsible for teaching music to students in grades 6–9. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on the curriculum and create an inspiring learning environment where students have the opportunity to develop their musicianship, creativity, and self-confidence. In the other part of the position (50%), you teach students in individual lessons and ensemble activities, where you help students develop as musicians—from beginners to more advanced players. Instruction primarily covers guitar, bass, and/or drums, and you participate in concerts, performances, and other public events as a natural part of the program. This part of the position is mainly scheduled during daytime, with some evening occasions in connection with concerts and performances. We are looking for someone who sees music as an opportunity to create engagement, relationships, and hope for the future. You have the ability to awaken interest and motivation in students and create instruction that feels meaningful, inclusive, and enjoyable.
