As a technician within OTR, you will have the opportunity to work in a varied role with developmental tasks, while becoming part of an engaged and knowledgeable team. The operation covers several different areas where work is conducted both during day shifts and in shift rotation (5-shift), depending on the department. A role with broad responsibilities Within OTR, routine testing is performed on all cables produced within the company, and responsibilities within the department include routine testing of land cables (high voltage testing, AC and DC), routine testing of submarine cables, fiber measurements, connections, and impulse tests. As a technician, you will work with both assembly and advanced measurements. In addition to collaborating with your colleagues, you will have significant individual responsibility and opportunities to develop in the role. Your work tasks will include: • Test setup • Assembly of cable accessories • Quality assurance of our delivery cables • Various electrical measurements Since we perform a wide variety of electrical testing on cables and accessories, there are great opportunities to also try and learn other tasks within the department.
