Montessori Droppen Seeks Subject Teacher in German (Elective Language)

Montessori Droppen is an F-6 independent school (and preschool) located in central Haparanda. We are now looking for you—a qualified elective language teacher in German who is passionate about teaching students in this subject and solving pedagogical challenges with diverse learners. We work together with students to create a shared work environment where everyone—both staff and students—feels comfortable and secure. DUTIES As a subject teacher at the school, you are responsible for developing pedagogical work in collaboration with colleagues and in accordance with the national curriculum for primary school. You will work in a teaching team and instruct students in the German language elective. You will work with students in grade 6, placing student learning and their knowledge development at the center of your work. You will be responsible for planning and delivering daily instruction. Documentation, assessment of student learning progress, and communication with guardians are important parts of the role. The position covers the entire school year 2026/27, with the possibility of extension and potential increase in employment level. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a certified subject teacher with qualifications to teach the German language elective. You are a natural classroom leader with strong pedagogical skills and good subject knowledge. You should have a relationship-building approach in your interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. The position is approximately 5% and can be combined with other subjects.
