Montessori Droppen is a public independent school (and preschool) for grades F-6 located in central Haparanda. We are now seeking you—a qualified physical education teacher who is passionate about teaching students in Physical Education & Health and solving pedagogical challenges with diverse learners. We work together with children to create a shared work environment where everyone—both staff and students—can thrive and feel safe. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a subject teacher at the school, you are responsible for developing pedagogical work in collaboration with colleagues and in accordance with the national curriculum for compulsory school. You work in a team and teach Physical Education & Health. You will work with grades 4-6, placing students and their knowledge development at the center of your practice. You will be responsible for planning and implementing daily instruction. Documentation, assessment of student progress, and communication with guardians are important parts of the role. The position runs through the entire 2026/27 school year, with the possibility of extension and potential increase in employment percentage. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for an authorized subject teacher with certification to teach Physical Education & Health. You are a natural leader in the classroom with strong pedagogical skills and solid subject knowledge. You should have a relationship-building approach in interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. The position is approximately 5-10% and can be combined with other subjects.
