JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a native language teacher, you will instruct students in Hungarian as their native language while contributing to pedagogical development work within the subject. We are looking for someone with solid teaching experience and a good understanding of how schools are organized, their governing documents, and work methods. You know how schools function in practice. At our Unit for Multilingualism, we work with a theme-based approach. This means that all native language teachers work together from selected themes that form the foundation for instruction in all native languages. By working with the same theme across language borders, we create a coherent thread for our students and rich opportunities for collegial collaboration. You are expected to translate these shared themes into your teaching based on the curriculum goals. Collegial work is currently held on Tuesdays. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: Has very strong knowledge of Hungarian, both linguistically and culturally. Has very strong knowledge of the Swedish language (equivalent to Swedish 3/Swedish as a Second Language 3), as collaboration and documentation are conducted in Swedish. Has solid teaching experience and is well-versed in the Swedish school's governing documents (Lgr22). Has the ability to work with a theme-based approach. You can plan and deliver instruction based on shared themes and identify synergies between different subject areas. Is development-oriented and views collegial learning as a natural part of your work. Has personal suitability for the role, and we particularly value your ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. Desirable: It is desirable that you hold Swedish teacher certification with authorization in native language Hungarian. Meritorious: Holds an academic degree with a pedagogical focus.
