About Us As a mother tongue teacher with us, you will teach students from all of the municipality's schools in their mother tongue. Teaching takes place at Fuxernaskolan. You will be part of the multilingual unit and work closely with the head of the student welfare unit who is responsible for the operation. Together we work to strengthen students' language development and contribute to their knowledge development in school. The purpose of mother tongue instruction is to give students the opportunity to develop their knowledge of and about their language. The mother tongue is of great importance for children's language development as well as for their identity, personality, and intellectual development. A well-developed mother tongue provides good conditions for learning Swedish, other languages, and other school subjects. Instruction follows the curricula for primary school and adapted primary school, and grades are set according to the same principles as in other subjects. Your Role As a mother tongue teacher, you are responsible for instruction in the mother tongue subject for students in grades 1–9 in the municipality's primary schools and adapted primary school. In this role you will: - Be responsible for mother tongue instruction for students in grades 1–9. - Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in accordance with current regulatory documents. - Work with formative assessment and grading. - Create a stimulating learning environment that supports students' linguistic and personal development. - Collaborate with students' guardians and other school staff. - Use digital tools to support instruction. Who Are You? We are looking for you who: - Are a certified mother tongue teacher or have other academic education that can be considered appropriate for pedagogical work. - Have experience teaching in a Swedish school. - Have documented proficiency in Swedish and Somali. - Have computer skills and are accustomed to working with digital tools. We are looking for someone who is organized and self-directed and has good collaboration skills. You also have a good ability to lead and motivate students in their learning. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
