We are looking for a dedicated native language teacher! Come and shape Gävle's future with us. Students should be given the opportunity to develop and consolidate subject knowledge based on their linguistic abilities. Therefore, we are now seeking a Mandarin native language teacher for Gävle municipality's primary schools. The work is performed in collaboration with other educators, student support services, and guardians. As a Mandarin native language teacher, your duties include: • teaching the language • teaching students about the culture and traditions of countries where the language is spoken The instruction follows a curriculum with a comparative purpose, which means you must also have good Swedish language skills. For students who have difficulty meeting learning objectives or keeping up with other subjects, you as a native language teacher can provide support through study guidance. This involves highlighting or deepening students' knowledge in areas where Swedish concepts need clarification and discussion in their native language. The position is 20% full-time equivalent. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this task, you must: • speak and write Mandarin fluently • speak and write Swedish fluently • be able to work toward the organization's goals and follow planning It is important that you: • feel confident speaking, reading, or writing in front of a larger group of children or young people • have a relationship-building approach • can create open dialogue • adapt your actions based on the situation • have a humble approach in your collaboration with others We warmly welcome your application!
