JOB DUTIES In the role as native language teacher, you teach students in Italian as a native language and contribute to the pedagogical development work within the subject. We are looking for someone who has solid teaching experience and a good understanding of how schools are organized, their governing documents, and working methods. You know how school works in practice. At our Unit for Multilingualism, we work in a theme-based manner. This means that all native language teachers jointly base their work on selected themes that form the foundation for instruction in all native languages. By working with the same theme across language boundaries, we create a connecting thread for our students and rich opportunities for collegial collaboration. You are expected to implement these shared themes in your teaching based on the curriculum goals. Collegial work is currently held on Tuesdays. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: Has very good knowledge of Italian, both linguistically and culturally. Has very good knowledge of the Swedish language (equivalent to Swedish 3/Swedish as a Second Language 3) as collaboration and documentation take place in Swedish. Has solid teaching experience and is well familiar with Swedish school's governing documents (Lgr22). Has the ability to work in a theme-based manner. You can plan and carry out instruction based on shared themes and see synergies between different subject areas. Is development-oriented and views collegial learning as a natural part of your work. Has personal suitability for the assignment, where we especially value your ability to create good relationships with students and colleagues. Desirable: It is desirable that you have Swedish teacher certification with authorization in native language Italian. Meritorious: Have academic education with a pedagogical focus.
