JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The position involves working as a native language teacher in the municipality's primary schools and at the reception unit for newly arrived students at the Language Center. Subject instruction occurs in close collaboration with the school or reception unit teachers and is a way for the student to progress with the Swedish language while utilizing the student's previous subject knowledge. You will be part of a team with other native language teachers and subject instructors in several languages and in close collaboration with the reception unit's staff. You will also work closely with primary school educators at the various units. The position may include administrative tasks related to students and school work as well as coordinating contacts with, among others, guardians, school staff, and authorities. Start date by agreement. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with a teaching degree. You should have excellent skills in Finnish; you also need to have good skills in Swedish and it is meriting if you have knowledge of English. You can express yourself clearly both orally and in writing. You have experience working with the reception of newly arrived students, have pedagogical knowledge and experience, and are well-versed in pedagogical work with children and students in the Swedish school system. You are flexible, take initiative, and can adapt your approach and actions according to the situation. You have good collaboration skills, are independent and goal-oriented. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You need to be able to move between different units in your work and you may need to use your own car for the position.
