JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In this position we combine two important functions for our students' development. Your main responsibility is as a native language teacher in English, but the position also includes a smaller part of study guidance. Native Language Instruction: In your role as a native language teacher, you teach students English as a native language and contribute to pedagogical development work. Here at the Unit for Multilingualism we work theme-based. This means that the entire unit works together from selected themes, which creates a common thread for students and rich opportunities for collegial collaboration. You are expected to implement these common themes in your teaching based on the curriculum objectives (Lgr22). A smaller part of your position involves working as a study guide. In this role you function as a linguistic bridge and support students in various school subjects in English, so that they can benefit from subject instruction. This work is always conducted in close collaboration with the school's subject teachers. Our collegial work takes place on Tuesday mornings. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: Have very good knowledge of English, both linguistically and culturally. Have very good knowledge of the Swedish language (equivalent to Svenska 3/Swedish as a Second Language 3) as collaboration with subject teachers and documentation in our systems takes place in Swedish. Have solid experience teaching and are well acquainted with Swedish school's governing documents (Lgr22). Have the ability to work theme-based. You can plan and conduct teaching based on common themes and see synergies between different subject areas. Are development-oriented and see collegial learning as a natural part of your work. Have personal suitability for the position, where we particularly value your ability to create good relationships with students and colleagues. Desirable: It is desirable that you have Swedish teacher certification with qualification in native language English. Meritorious: Have academic education with a pedagogical focus. Experience in study guidance in the native language. For this position, a category B driver's license and access to your own car are required. Type of Employment: Permanent position.
