At Lumena, we offer open services toward employment or education for all residents of Södertälje municipality. The operations have three focuses. Alis is our regular activity that provides support to young adults between 18-29 years old. Our Own Way for Young People is an ESF-financed project that provides support to young adults 18-21 years old from particularly disadvantaged areas. Lumena +, a sub-project in a regional ESF-financed collaboration project between Region Stockholm, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and Södertälje municipality targeting ages 30-64. In our operations, we work based on evidence-based methods: Individual Placement and Support (IPS), Supported Education, and Case Management (CM). We employ mentors and employment consultants. We are now seeking a mentor for the young adult target group. Your Responsibilities You support participants, based on their own wishes, to overcome the obstacles they face in moving forward to employment or education. You work based on the Case Management and MI methods. Support is person-centered and individually designed. You support participants in the life areas where needs exist and coordinate the necessary authority contacts. Your work takes place in close collaboration with the employment consultant who supports the participant toward employment and education. Together with the participant, you work toward their goals and continuously follow up on the process. You dedicate your time to motivation work, guidance, and identifying support needs. Part of your work at the unit also involves contributing to the projects' development. Who Are You? You have experience with or are curious about working with young adults and have good knowledge of the current target group. In your role as a mentor, you are a support for the participant and therefore need the ability to build confidence and trust. You are driven by supporting participants toward empowerment through employment or education and have strong belief in participants' possibilities. You have knowledge of mental health issues and neuropsychiatric functional limitations and can adapt your support based on the participant's needs. Who Are You? Requirements: - You have a higher education degree or equivalent competence in social work - You have experience working with participants who need support - You enjoy being the hub connecting different parties and are experienced in collaborating with various authorities on behalf of the participant Meritorious: - You have previously worked in Södertälje and are familiar with the local support systems - You have worked as a coordinator or have experience with CM - You have experience with rehabilitative work methods Personal Qualities: - The qualities we are looking for are curiosity, openness, and positive confidence in participants' possibilities to work or study. During the period June 7 - August 3, there are limited opportunities to get answers to questions about the position.
