MLA Gynecology - Outpatient and Operating Room Meliva Gyn Läkarvillan is now recruiting an MLA in gynecology where both outpatient care and surgical operations are part of our service offerings. Meliva Gyn Läkarvillan is located in the St Göran area on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. After the summer, we are moving to completely renovated and well-adapted facilities just a stone's throw from our current location. Our new premises will be designed for optimal patient and staff flow, with both patients and employees in focus. Within Meliva, quality is paramount, and the MLA function is central to our operations. As an MLA with us, you will be part of the management team and we see you as a natural right hand to the operations manager and vice versa. As MLA, you will contribute to modern, learning-focused specialist care where development and quality are at the center, and you will have the opportunity to work clinically alongside your MLA responsibilities. The Role As an MLA within Meliva, you will also gain a broader perspective as you participate in Meliva's Medical Council where all of the company's MLAs meet twice a year to exchange experiences. Additionally, we hold special extended medical councils within Gynecology where MLAs from our gynecological units meet to discuss challenges and new developments. Meliva also has a central Quality function and Chief Medical Officers who provide support and advice on various matters as needed. Collaboration and knowledge exchange with other Meliva operations in Sweden and other countries where Meliva operates is encouraged. As an MLA within Meliva, you have significant responsibility, but you are never alone. Your responsibilities include: Supporting the operations manager on medical matters and patient safety. Conducting monthly physician meetings focused on development. Contributing to the development of clinical operations and spreading best practices. Building relationships with Meliva's other healthcare units in specialist and primary care. Monitoring medical quality (deviations, complaints, healthcare reports, IVO) and coordinating patient safety initiatives. Participating in external networks to monitor and implement new care models and methods within gynecological care. Who Are You? You are a confident and experienced specialist physician in gynecology who combines clinical expertise with a development-oriented mindset. You are an advisor, standard-setter, and culture-bearer in one – and you thrive in a role where quality, patient safety, and development are central. Personal Qualities: Analytical and structured with the ability to interpret medical quality data and translate it into action. Relationship-oriented and communicative, skilled at building confidence in medical matters and leading professional forums. Development-focused and action-oriented, with the ability to inspire and drive change. Pedagogical and inclusive, with strong coaching skills and ability to foster learning. Understanding of the connection between medical quality, economics, workforce development, and patient safety. Competency Profile: Specialist in Gynecology/Obstetrics with at least three years of experience. Experience in medical management (MLA, operations management, or patient safety/quality work). Strong ability to work data-driven, analyze quality results, and lead development initiatives. Strong communication skills in speaking and writing, fluent Swedish.
