JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Sollefteå Municipality is seeking a Medical Director for Rehabilitation (MAR) who wants to help develop a safe, quality-assured, and patient-safe rehabilitation service for our residents. As MAR, you are part of the overall management of social services and also participate in the health and medical care management group together with the municipality's Medical Director for Health Care (MAS). You have clear strategic medical leadership responsibility with mandate and are responsible for ensuring that rehabilitation services and assistive device management are conducted in accordance with legislation, national guidelines, and the National Board of Health and Welfare's recommendations for MAR. This position is a combination role with a development assignment and responsibility for assistive devices in combination with the MAR assignment. You become a key person in the municipality's quality and development work and work closely with managers, licensed professionals, and external collaboration partners. Your main responsibilities • Ensure, in accordance with the Health and Medical Care Ordinance and the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations on the use of medical devices, that rehabilitation within functional support, social psychiatry, and elderly care is appropriate, safe, and maintains high quality. • Initiate and drive development and improvement work to strengthen and further develop the municipality's rehabilitation services. • Develop guidelines and procedures related to rehabilitation, medical record-keeping, assistive devices, and medical devices in collaboration with operations and MAS, and ensure that procedures and working methods comply with applicable legislation and regulations. • Manage the municipality's assistive device services, including quality, safety, follow-up, and collaboration with the region's assistive device services. • Conduct quality audits, self-inspections, and follow up on deviations; lead investigations and initiate corrective measures. • Provide professional support to managers and employees on matters concerning rehabilitation, assistive devices, and patient safety. • Drive development work and contribute to long-term competence supply within the rehabilitation field. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications • Licensed occupational therapist or physical therapist. • Several years of experience in rehabilitation, preferably within municipal health and medical care. • Good knowledge of legislation and regulations within health and medical care. • Experience with quality work, patient safety, and development work. • Meritorious experience with assistive device management or similar areas of responsibility. • Ability to work independently, strategically, and in close collaboration with others. • Good communication skills and experience collaborating in complex organizations. • Fluency in Swedish with excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
