As Assistant Restaurant Manager at MAX, you are a key person in the operation. You ensure that restaurant operations run smoothly, guarantee strong results and a good work environment, and make sure guests receive world-class service. You're a role model in your leadership and naturally lead the way for your colleagues when the pace is high. You also ensure that all employees understand what is expected in service delivery. The role includes completing our leadership training program MAX Leadership Academy, a comprehensive introduction to MAX operations with both practical and theoretical components. There are also excellent internal development opportunities. Primary Responsibilities Assist the restaurant manager with recruiting, training, and developing staff. Be well-versed in personnel status, scheduling, budget, operational responsibility, and workplace environment matters. Drive food safety initiatives and implement measures according to central guidelines. Set, implement, and follow up on ambitious goals together with the restaurant manager. Set budgets and forecasts for sales and worked hours. Monitor and control goods, inventory, purchasing, handling, and waste on a daily basis. Plan, design, and execute work tasks to achieve goals and align with strategies and guidelines in a productive and efficient manner. Coach, motivate, and develop your staff to create a winning team that exceeds guest expectations. Responsibility & Authority Full personnel responsibility and workplace environment responsibility. Responsibility for the restaurant meeting its forecasts and staying within budget. Authority to recruit within existing budget. You must live and work within one hour's travel distance from the restaurant to understand the local area and be able to respond quickly when needed.
