Materials Engineer at Husqvarna
Description:
Do you want to work in a key role where you can combine technical depth in materials analysis with structured work in digital systems? At Husqvarna, you'll have the opportunity to help ensure the quality of tomorrow's products – both through advanced materials testing in the lab and by building robust and accurate materials data in our systems. We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic role where theory meets practice and where your expertise makes a real difference. About the Role As a Materials Engineer, you'll have a dual role where you work approximately 50% with materials data in the PLM system Teamcenter and 50% in the materials lab. In the systems portion, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and quality-assured materials data. You'll work on structuring, registering, and analyzing materials information, including managing material specifications, classification, and tracking according to internal requirements. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and other functions that rely on correct materials data for development and production. In the laboratory portion, you'll work practically with materials analysis. This includes sample preparation and analysis of material properties, such as microscopy, hardness testing, and chemical analysis. The work may include deviation investigations, failure analysis, and materials verification in connection with quality issues, complaints, and field problems. You'll be part of a team of approximately 10–12 people and work closely with functions in development, quality, and production. The role requires you to quickly switch between analytical systems work and practical lab work, and to contribute both structure and technical understanding to the organization's materials-related issues. Your Profile We're looking for someone with a strong materials technical foundation combined with a structured and analytical approach. You're organized and quality-conscious in your systems work. We also believe you're curious and flexible and enjoy switching between more administrative tasks and practical lab work. Requirements for the Position: University/Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Experience working with a PLM system, preferably Teamcenter Experience with materials technical analysis in a lab environment About Husqvarna Husqvarna Group is an international company with a rich history of product development since 1689.
