JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a mathematics and science teacher with us, you'll have a central role in developing students' understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts through engaging and challenging instruction. You create a dynamic learning environment where problem-solving, investigative approaches, and hands-on activities make the subjects come alive and relevant for students. Through varied teaching methods, clear structure, and use of digital tools, you stimulate students' curiosity and develop their analytical and critical thinking. You adapt instruction to meet students' individual needs and work actively to ensure all students have the opportunity to progress as far as possible in their learning development. Through formative assessment, structured instruction, and modern pedagogical methods, you contribute to strengthening students' confidence and their ability to solve problems and draw conclusions. There is also an opportunity to take on a role as lead teacher if you have the desired qualifications. As a lead teacher, you have special responsibility, together with school leadership, to develop instruction based on scientific evidence and proven practice, with the goal of increasing student achievement. You drive the development of teaching and assessment methods and lead collegial learning. Together with school leadership, you contribute to developing the school's work within the framework of systematic quality work. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who is a certified teacher in mathematics and science for grades 7-9 and has experience teaching at the junior high level. You have strong subject knowledge, a strong pedagogical drive, and the ability to engage and challenge students at different levels. Certification in multiple science subjects (biology, physics, or chemistry) is a merit. Experience with lesson design, differentiated instruction, and use of digital learning tools is also an advantage. As a person, you are analytical, organized, and solution-focused, and you have a strong ability to create and develop relationships with both students and colleagues. For the lead teacher position, the following is required: Teacher certification in mathematics for grades 7-9 At least four years of documented professional experience Documented strong teaching results and experience leading collegial development That you are particularly professionally skilled By particularly professional skill is meant deep subject knowledge, strong didactic competence, and ability to conduct instruction that rests on scientific evidence and proven practice. The work is characterized by reflection, adaptation to students' needs, collegial cooperation, and a holistic perspective in the school's quality work.
