Land Surveying Engineer

Description:

Härjeåns is a comprehensive provider of energy solutions with electricity and fiber networks as well as electricity trading. Our operational area can be symbolized by 700 miles of power lines. We are now looking for a Land Surveying Engineer who wants to contribute to tomorrow's energy solutions. About the job As a Land Surveying Engineer with us, you will be an important part of the Operations & Maintenance department and work with land and property matters throughout the entire group. You contribute to ensuring that our electricity and fiber networks have the necessary land rights, through work with right of way, easements and other agreements. The role encompasses the entire process in case of land encroachment – from valuation and dialogue with landowners to agreements, compensation and follow-up. You are also involved in agreement work for the relocation of lines, handling of land rights issues and disputes, as well as work with the company's concessions and permits. You participate in project and development meetings and have a varied workday with many points of contact. Through collaboration with landowners, municipalities, authorities and colleagues internally, you serve as a resource in land rights matters and contribute to smooth and sustainable planning. Who are you? We are looking for someone who enjoys land and property matters and has an interest in developing within the field. You are thorough, take responsibility for your work and have a solution-oriented approach. Since the role involves many contacts both within and outside Härjeåns, you need to be a responsive and communicative team player and at the same time be able to work independently. You are engaged and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by willingly sharing both knowledge and experience. We know that the best energy solutions arise in teams where diversity and different perspectives are encouraged, and we actively work for a culture where everyone can develop and thrive. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, interests and experiences. Qualifications We would like you to have a higher education degree in the field, for example as a surveyor, land surveying engineer or equivalent. We also view experience favorably from practical work with land and properties from, for example, forest companies, energy companies, municipalities or similar operations. Another advantage is if you have work experience with line encroachments, consultations and negotiations. Since as a land surveying engineer you will have a large network of contacts, you need to be comfortable communicating well both verbally and in writing, and you also need to have computer skills and a class B driver's license. What do we offer you? We offer you an interesting job in a highly relevant energy industry where we invest heavily in both skills development and a good work environment. Our Operations & Maintenance department supports everything from managing our own land, maintenance and development of new cable routes, management of external environments around facilities, as well as surveying and consultation matters. Below you can see some examples of what we do to make you feel at home with us: Skills Development Härjeåns wants to be an attractive employer where we give you the opportunity to continuously take courses and participate in various networks. Härjeåns is a member of the industry organization Energiföretagen Sverige, which offers environmental monitoring, technical development, training and conferences with the purpose of developing competence to meet future challenges. Work-Life Balance Time for recovery beyond regular vacation is important; we offer 45 hours of work reduction and 5 extra days distributed throughout the year to add a little extra shine to long weekends. Wellness Health and exercise have a central place in the benefits package we offer the group's employees. Within our wellness council we work to find activities that promote physical exercise and mental health. Examples of wellness activities are massage, step competitions and social events. We also offer a wellness allowance to all employees. Another benefit is our geographical location where we live and work close to nature. If you value having outdoor activities around the corner, you will enjoy it here. Read more about us as an employer.
