Our mission also includes neurological speech pathology within inpatient and outpatient care. The work is primarily conducted at the clinic, but preschool visits and home visits also occur. Together with speech-language pathology colleagues, medical secretaries, otolaryngologists, and colleagues at the medical clinic, we are part of different teams, all to best meet the patient's needs. With a person-centered approach in an innovative and positively evolving work environment, we are in the midst of an initiative for the county's rehabilitation medicine patients. The work also includes tasks such as handling incoming referrals, scheduling appointments, and telephone consultation. Work hours are weekdays during daytime with placement at Oskarshamn Hospital. About You We are looking for two enthusiastic speech-language pathologists to join our team. One temporary position for one year, with the possibility of extension, as well as a permanent position. We would be delighted to attract you as an experienced speech-language pathologist, and we also welcome applications from those newly qualified. Your Future Workplace The Speech-Language Pathology Clinic is one of six smaller clinics under the same roof that together form the specialist clinic. Here we have close exchange and support among colleagues within ophthalmology, dermatology, gynecology, pediatrics, and otolaryngology services. The specialist clinic serves a broad patient group, from newborn babies to the elderly who in various ways need specialist assessment and treatment. Each week our clinic is staffed with doctors from Västervik Hospital within their respective areas. Together, medical secretaries, nurses, nursing assistants, opticians, audiologists, and speech-language pathologists work in the same facilities, which provides collegial added value and knowledge exchange. We start each day with morning exercises and gladly exchange both experiences and recipes with each other during coffee breaks.
