Are you ready for one of the world's most fun jobs? I'm a happy and determined 9-year-old girl looking for a new assistant to join my team. I'm in 3rd grade at an adapted elementary school. I love getting into mischief, playing make-believe, playing with Barbies, playing Roblox, making my own slime, creating YouTube videos (not published), doing my makeup, singing and dancing. Sometimes I go for walks with my dog, so it's good if you're not allergic to dogs. Another thing I love doing in the summers is swimming—in both cold and warm water. I'm not a couch potato like my dad. I was born with spinal muscular atrophy, a condition that means my muscles are weak and I have reduced mobility throughout my body. That's why I use my electric wheelchair outdoors and a manual wheelchair indoors. I was also diagnosed with epilepsy last year, but I don't notice it much. I need someone who can be my arms and legs sometimes, but otherwise I'm like any spirited 9-year-old. I prefer to speak for myself, unless I get too shy. The person I'm looking for should be a cheerful person who can match my energy but also take the job seriously. As my assistant, you'll be close by to step in when I need help or support, but it's also important that you can be "invisible" when I'm talking with my friends, for example. I don't want you to be my extra parent or teacher—I want you to be my right-hand person who stands by me through thick and thin. It's important to me that you speak fluent Swedish so we can understand each other. When lifting is needed, I'd prefer if you're strong and able to move me short distances. You need to be a non-smoker since I don't like the smell and have an excellent sense of smell. It's a bonus if you have a driver's license and can drive, but it's not a requirement. Sometimes my family and I go to the countryside, and it would be fun if you could come along—either stay overnight or it's quick to take the train for a day trip. With me, we try to help each other out, so if one assistant is sick, we try to cover for each other so I can get to school or do something else that's planned. No previous experience is required—just common sense and understanding of what it means to be a personal assistant.
