Hospitals in the West is a department within the Västra Götalandsregionen and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angereds Community Hospital, Högsbo Community Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide high-quality and safe specialist healthcare. Description The Psychiatry Unit is one of the few operations in the country that combines child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry under a single management. This facilitates and enables rapid information transfer, promotes collaboration, and increases the possibility of short decision-making paths. We have a long tradition of collaboration with the municipalities we serve. We have three BUP clinics within the Psychiatry Unit at Kungälv Hospital. In Stenungsund, we serve children and adolescents from the municipalities of Stenungsund and Tjörn. Within BUP, we apply annual working hours, which provides opportunities for flexible work during the work year. We offer excellent opportunities for professional development, continuous supervision, and the possibility of specialization. The team consists of senior physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. We also have access to speech pathology resources within the department. The operation is characterized by high competence and a high degree of collaboration, and is conducted from a multidisciplinary perspective. Our doors are open here, both for collegial support and to share laughs. We have common break times and enjoy having fun together. Stenungsund offers pleasant outdoor lunches by the dock and the opportunity for swimming in the sea year-round. The clinic is located in central Stenungsund, close to the train and bus station, for example to and from Gothenburg/Uddevalla. Responsibilities Assessment, investigation, and treatment work with children, adolescents, and their families. The work takes place in a team but also independently. The work also includes collaborating with other agencies around children and families. Qualifications Licensed psychologist. We seek someone with previous experience working with children and adolescents, preferably with neuropsychiatric issues and patients with self-harm behaviors. We value qualities such as humor, forward-thinking attitude, and the ability to think positively and solution-oriented. Experience leading groups is a plus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently.
