About the Workplace Praktikertjänst Primary Care Center in Fagersta is seeking additional colleagues. The primary care center has been operated by Praktikertjänst AB since December 1, 2022. The center has 10,300 registered patients. Good relationships exist with municipal home care services and regional healthcare operations. The facility is staffed exclusively by permanently employed specialists in general medicine distributed among 7 experienced colleagues equivalent to 5.0 full-time positions, and 3 specialty trainees (ST) in general medicine. In addition, medical residents (AT) and regularly returning medical students are included. We place great emphasis on workplace satisfaction and the continued development of our operations. The facility is not connected to an emergency department. Given this, there is close collaboration with the ambulance service in Fagersta. With some increased distance to emergency departments, the general medicine role becomes somewhat broader with enhanced learning opportunities and greater variety. Duties The work involves standard primary care clinic activities with breadth across general medicine. You will work as a junior physician with your own clinic, manage patients independently with regular support from a supervisor, and participate in ongoing teamwork at the unit. All different professional perspectives need to be present in a workplace—we have clear perspectives, including an educational perspective. Learning for younger colleagues is a central part of our operations. We hold two regular physician meetings per week, and all general medicine specialists have supervisory competence.
