About Fågelsångens School Fågelsångens School is an F–9 school with approximately 425 students as well as an adapted elementary school with 16 students. The school offers bright and well-adapted learning environments. Here you will meet an engaged and competent staff who work solution-focused and with strong responsibility culture. We are engaged in active development work where collaboration is the foundation of everything we do. At the school there is a well-functioning student support team with broad expertise. In the adapted elementary school, you work together with a team consisting of teachers, teaching assistants, and teachers for after-school programs. Together you create a safe, structured, and developing learning environment based on each student's individual needs. Job Responsibilities We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable teacher for our adapted elementary school. You have primary responsibility for instruction and actively contribute to the development of the operations. The assignment includes: Planning, conducting, and evaluating instruction based on students' individual circumstances Working with clarifying pedagogy and accommodations Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Closely collaborating with colleagues as well as with student support and guardians Participating in school development work Being a mentor and maintaining regular contact with guardians Supervising teaching assistants and elementary teachers for after-school programs Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements To be eligible to teach at an adapted elementary school according to school law, the following is required: An elementary teacher degree with a focus on grades 4–6 A special education teacher degree with a focus on intellectual disability To become eligible to teach in the adapted elementary school, you must as a general rule have a special education teacher degree with a focus on intellectual disability. Additionally, a teacher degree is required. You also become eligible if your teacher degree includes a focus or specialization in intellectual disability.
