We are seeking a teacher for the Electrical and Energy Program. Job Responsibilities Teaching and other teaching duties in the Electrical and Energy Program. You will teach in all grade levels within alarm systems, maintenance, and electrical technology. The EE program offers specializations in Electrical Technology and Energy Technology. You will work in both specializations. The teaching role also includes mentoring students, where you encourage students to take their own initiative in a way that contributes to responsibility for their own development. Through your mentoring, you will also collaborate with students' guardians and student support teams on matters concerning the individual's development. You will be part of a teaching team. Requirements for the Position Licensed teacher with qualifications to teach in upper secondary school in the electrical and energy program. However, those working in the electrical and energy sector who wish to try the profession and are interested in beginning education to become a vocational teacher may also be of interest. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Meritorious for the Position Have worked as an electrician (installation or industrial) for several years, either as a self-employed person or as an employee. Have good and established contacts within the electrical and energy sector. Have knowledge of the requirements and guidelines that the electrical industry's central professional committee (ECY) sets for obtaining electrical certification and the path to becoming a qualified electrician, and have knowledge of the legislation that applies to electrical installation and electrical safety. Qualities We are looking for someone with both practical and theoretical experience in the field. You have pronounced collaboration skills, can take own initiative, and have the will and ability to meet and provide support to each student in their learning based on their level of knowledge. As a teacher, you see possibilities in working with ICT as a natural tool in learning and teaching. We would appreciate it if you have experience working with young people. About the Workplace Vägga Upper Secondary School currently has just over 1000 students and 150 employees. The school offers most national programs as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. The upper secondary school is divided into four school units, each with a responsible principal. The Education Department has approximately 1200 employees and is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted school, upper secondary school, municipal adult education, commissioned education, and Swedish for Immigrants (SFI).
