Nikkala School is seeking an engaged and confident textile arts teacher for grades 4–6. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to students' development through creative, structured, and enjoyable learning. Your Profile As a textile arts teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on textile arts instruction according to the current curriculum (Lgr22). You create a safe learning environment where safety, creative joy, and learning go hand in hand. The work takes place in close collaboration with the teaching team and other staff at the school. Scope: 20% position scheduled for one day per week. Your Responsibilities Teach students in grades 4–6 in textile arts Plan and follow up on instruction based on Lgr22 Assess and document students' knowledge development Actively work with safety, structure, and good working conditions in the textile arts room Collaborate with colleagues, student support services, and guardians Qualifications Licensed teacher with certification in textile arts for grades 4–6 Good didactic ability and subject knowledge Ability to build positive relationships with students Structured, responsible, and confident in your leadership role Meritorious: Experience teaching in primary school Experience working with students in need of support We Offer A safe and welcoming school Collaborative teamwork and close leadership Opportunity to help develop practical and aesthetic instruction Employment according to applicable agreements Other Information Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
