As the largest employer with over 2,200 employees in 100 different professional roles, we offer meaningful work where development, community, and social contribution meet. With Vision 2040 – "Together Toward the Future" – we shape an innovative and sustainable everyday life, together. With us, you make a real difference every day, in a culture characterized by courage, commitment, and opportunities to grow – both professionally and as a person. Are you ready to shape the future of Ulricehamn, together with us? The Learning Sector works for coherent and inclusive learning for all – from the youngest to adults. Together, we create a culture where participation, safety, and high expectations are at the center. Through collaboration, language, and presence, we lay the foundation for goal achievement and lifelong learning. The Special Education School in Ulricehamns Municipality, which is part of the school area Tingsholm, offers students with intellectual disabilities an education carefully adapted to each student's individual circumstances – from elementary school through secondary and adult levels. The operations are built on the same structure as regular elementary school while including specialized subject areas that promote students' motor skills, communication, everyday activities, aesthetic development, and understanding of reality. Here, each student has the opportunity to develop in a safe learning environment where participation, learning, and hope for the future are at the center. Would you like to help develop learning and safety for our students in both the after-school program and the school? We welcome your application! 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a teacher with specialty in after-school programs with us, you will have a central role in planning, leading, and implementing educational activities for our students during after-school hours. You create conditions for safety, development, and meaningful leisure through pedagogical learning based on students' needs, interests, and experiences. You collaborate closely with other educators to ensure that students' learning, participation, and influence are strengthened – both in the after-school program's activities and in the school as a whole. Collaboration with the school's other educators is essential to create a holistic view of students' development. You may also work part of your time in the school, for example as a resource teacher or in subjects such as physical education. Your job duties: • Plan and implement educational activities in the after-school program. • Collaborate with teachers and student support services to support students' learning and development. • Work for good quality, participation, and safety in the operations. • Support students in transitions between after-school program and school. • In certain parts of the position, also work in classrooms or as a resource teacher. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with specialty in after-school programs, preferably with supplementary education in physical education or other subjects. You have good knowledge of the assignment in the comprehensive curriculum and are well versed in the after-school program's current mandate. You feel confident in your professional role and are familiar with the governance documents that guide the operations. It is meritorious if you have experience and competence in the area of disabilities and have previously worked in special education elementary school. Knowledge or training in low-arousal interaction and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) is also considered an asset. As a person, you are independent, flexible, and have a professional demeanor toward students, guardians, colleagues, and others you meet in your professional role. You are responsive, creative, and quality-conscious and work in a structured and systematic manner in close collaboration with your supervisor and colleagues. Because collaboration between the after-school program and school is a central part of the assignment, good collaboration skills and clear and secure communication are required. Type of employment: Permanent position. Duration: Indefinite. We would appreciate it if you include your diploma in your application. A criminal record check is required upon job offer in accordance with the Education Act (2010:800, Chapter 2 §§ 31-33). Employment is contingent upon required decisions being made.
