The Forestry Upper Secondary Program, Forest Economics Upper Secondary Program, and Hunting Upper Secondary Program are offered within the Natural Resources Program with a focus on forestry, where students gain knowledge in modern forestry and digital technology. Theory studies are combined with simulator training and operating real machinery on practice grounds and in the forest. Students in the hunting program gain in-depth knowledge of various forms of hunting and game management and wildlife care. Students in the Forest Economics program specialize in areas such as economics and forest management, and in the Forestry program there is more emphasis on machinery operation and students also learn to operate harvesters. Our students gain competence to work in forestry as machine operators, forest conservationists, entrepreneurs, or continue studies toward forest engineer, forest technician, game manager, wildlife administrator, or other higher education programs. We are now seeking a person with strong theoretical and practical knowledge in forestry/forest production who is enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with future colleagues in the forestry industry. Instruction in forest machinery operation is a central part. It may also include teaching courses in forest care and chainsaw operation. A central part of the work is using digital systems and tools in instruction and documentation. Your responsibilities also include mentorship including development conversations and parental contact. Together with students, colleagues, management, and in collaboration with the forestry industry, you will drive the education forward.
