Kompetenscenter in Köping is the municipality's adult education center and is part of the Social and Labor Market Administration. Each year, over 800 students study with us within SFI, adapted education, basic and upper secondary adult education, and vocational higher education programs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a second language, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction for adult students with different backgrounds, experiences, and goals. You teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language at upper secondary level according to GY25, as well as Swedish and Swedish as a second language at basic level. The position includes both classroom instruction and distance/remote teaching. You actively work to create an accessible, inclusive, and motivating learning environment where students are given the conditions to develop and reach their goals. Evening instruction occurs as we offer instruction during both day and evening hours. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who • Has teacher certification with the right to teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language at upper secondary level. • Has experience teaching in adult education or other relevant educational activities. • Are confident in your pedagogical role and have a strong ability to create structure, motivation, and a productive study environment. • Have good digital competence and use digital tools as a natural part of teaching. • Are flexible, attentive, and have an inclusive approach. • Have good collaboration skills and contribute to the development of the operations. Meritorious qualifications • Certification in additional subjects • Experience teaching in municipal adult education • Experience with remote and distance teaching • Experience working with students with varying educational backgrounds and language levels Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
