We are now seeking an engaged middle school teacher for Lemshaga Akademi, with particular responsibility for teaching Swedish and Social Studies. About the Position We are looking for someone who wants to teach at the middle school level and who has broad subject expertise, with a particular focus on Swedish and Social Studies. You will be an important part of a team where collaboration, shared responsibility, and collegial development are central. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create teaching where students develop language, conceptual understanding, reading comprehension, writing, analysis, and understanding of society. We are looking for someone who wants to make Swedish and Social Studies engaging, relevant, and meaningful for students. The assignment includes: planning, delivering, and following up on instruction in Swedish and Social Studies creating teaching that strengthens students' language, reading comprehension, writing, and analytical skills contributing to high achievement through clear, engaging, and accessible instruction awakening students' curiosity about society, history, democracy, ethics, and current affairs contributing to safety, study focus, and good relationships in the student group working with formative assessment and clear feedback collaborating closely with colleagues in the team around student learning and development contributing to the school's collective work on inclusion, participation, well-being, and accessible learning environments serving as a mentor and maintaining close dialogue with students and guardians We would also appreciate it if you have the ability to teach multiple subjects at the middle school level, as we value flexibility, collaboration, and a holistic perspective in our team. We are Looking for Someone Who is a certified teacher with qualifications for middle school, preferably in Swedish and Social Studies, and who demonstrates warm, clear, and professional leadership in the classroom. You are a teacher who: enjoys teaching and creating engagement with students has a strong ability to build relationships feels confident leading groups and creating structure works in language-developing and inclusive ways has high expectations for students and wants to give each student the opportunity to reach as far as possible sees collaboration with colleagues as a natural part of the job is curious about school development and wants to contribute to the whole wants to contribute to a school culture where we see the good, strengthen students' self-esteem, and help them grow both academically and as people You need to be able to meet students with different needs and circumstances, and you see adaptations, clarity, and relationship-building work as a natural part of good teaching. Scope and Start Date The position is a permanent full-time employment, with a start date by agreement. A six-month probationary period applies.
