Our Operations Kvarnbergsskolan is a grades 6-9 school located in central Gustavsberg, approximately 30 minutes by bus from Slussen. The school underwent extensive renovation and expansion 6 years ago and we now have modern facilities adapted for working with the higher grade levels. The school's craft halls are adapted for half-class instruction and there are two halls for each craft discipline. At Kvarnbergsskolan, a warm and committed staff team works with the students' best interests in mind. We enjoy working together and take care of each other and our students. We work with clear structures and routines for daily work and we believe in dialogue and transparency. To ensure support for students, in addition to good instruction in the regular program, there is also a special education team. Special education teachers work in close collaboration with other teachers supporting students with learning needs in an adapted learning environment and smaller groups. We place particular emphasis on the school's mission to promote students' comprehensive personal development. For us, an important starting point is that knowledge development goes hand in hand with social development. Therefore, we have several school social workers at the school who collaborate with teachers in the work teams around the students. Your Assignment In the role of teacher of Swedish and English, you will teach grades 6-9. You will be part of a teacher work team and work in close collaboration with competent and experienced colleagues, both teachers in your own work team and subject teacher colleagues and school social workers. Mentoring approximately 17 students is part of the position. Your Experience We are looking for you who are a certified teacher of Swedish and English up to grade 9. Your Personal Qualities We expect you to be confident in your leadership role, that you work with low-affect methods and create a learning situation where students are engaged. We also expect you to have a positive view of students based on the belief that students can and want to learn, and that you value differences. We assume that you can and want to collaborate with both students, colleagues and guardians. It is also important that you actively participate in the work team's work around the students and with other common tasks, and that you are willing to contribute your experience and expertise to the work team and other colleagues. We place great importance on personal suitability. For this position, presenting a valid excerpt from the police criminal record is a requirement for employment. The position is full-time and a permanent position with start date August 11, 2026. The position is filled subject to the condition that no one with priority rights due to redundancy makes a claim on it.
