Teacher of Swedish in combination with English/Social Studies Täljegymnasiet is Södertälje municipality's largest municipal upper secondary school with approximately 680 students distributed across our various programs: NA, TE, EK, SAM, IB (International Baccalaureate), SPV, and IA (Individual Alternative). We are now seeking an engaged and competent teacher for a 100% substitute position in Swedish in combination with Social Studies and/or English. The substitute position extends over at least one school year, with good opportunities for extension. Your responsibilities As an upper secondary teacher in Swedish and English/Social Studies, you will play an important role in developing students' language skills and communicative abilities. You contribute to their knowledge development by creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Your main responsibilities include: Plan and conduct instruction: Design and deliver structured lessons in Swedish and English/Social Studies that engage students and develop their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Assess student progress: Monitor and evaluate students' knowledge development through varied assessment methods such as tests and oral presentations. Individualize instruction: Adapt instruction to students' different needs, prerequisites, and levels to promote learning and goal achievement. Collaborate with colleagues: Work in subject teams around planning, implementation, and development of instruction. Through your work, you actively contribute to students' intellectual and personal development. Who are you? Requirements: You have teacher certification with authorization to teach Swedish and English/Social Studies at the upper secondary level. You have experience teaching in a school environment. You have strong ability to plan, implement, and follow up on instruction. You have experience with assessment and grading in accordance with current guidelines. Meritorious: Experience working in upper secondary school. Ability to build good relationships with students and contribute to a safe learning environment. Personal qualities: You are a clear and confident leader in the classroom. You have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to collegial work. You are organized and plan and follow up on instruction efficiently. You are flexible and adapt instruction to students' different needs.
