Krungårdsskolan in Blomstermåla is a K-9 school with approximately 280 students and also has an adapted elementary school for grades 1-9. At Krungårdsskolan, we work with Challenging Learning – a shared pedagogical initiative and approach in Mönsterås municipality's preschools and elementary schools. The initiative has five focus areas: dialogue, feedback, transitions, challenges, and mindset. The goal is to create instruction that strengthens students' thinking, creativity, and curiosity, makes them more aware of their own learning, and contributes to increased goal achievement. Krungårdsskolan demonstrates a clear commitment to safety, student participation, and student development both inside and outside the classroom. To develop this further, the school uses TL/the Wellness Program as a pedagogical tool for increased activity, safety, and structure during breaks, where breaks are used to promote physical activity while providing students with tools in leadership and inclusion. The school also participates in KulturCrew Kalmar County, where students in grades 4-9 are trained and supported in the role of culture organizers within the school's regular operations. DUTIES Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and following up on Social Studies instruction in grades 6-9 as well as Social Studies in the adapted elementary school's upper secondary group. Mentorship is included for all teachers. You will be part of the upper secondary team. It is important that you can adapt your instruction based on students' needs and circumstances and collaborate with colleagues, student support services, and guardians to promote student learning and development. You assess and document students' knowledge development according to current curricula. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a certified teacher in all Social Studies subjects with an inclusive and relationship-building approach. You are flexible and confident in adapting your instruction based on students' needs. Experience teaching in adapted elementary school is advantageous. You are engaged, organized, and have strong collaboration and communication skills. You have an interest in school development and see it as natural to both develop your own teaching and contribute to achieving the school's goals. Employment Type: Permanent position.
