JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for you—a qualified teacher in mathematics or Swedish in combination with other subject(s)—who wants to teach in a special instruction group for students in grades 7–9. You plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for students in a small group who need special support. You contribute to finding tools as well as alternative teaching materials and methods to create good and accessible learning environments in our newly established unit, Smedjan. You will work closely with other teachers and resource specialists involved in the instruction. Together you will build an operation where, through clarity and structure, you create the conditions for development and learning toward goals based on students' individual needs. Close collaboration with guardians and other internal and external stakeholders is part of your daily work. QUALIFICATIONS For the newly established unit Smedjan, we are now seeking licensed teachers with certification in Swedish and mathematics in combination with at least one other subject, for example English, natural sciences, or social studies, for grades 7–9. Together you will develop and build up the work in our special instruction group by establishing routines for the operation. To succeed in your assignment, you should have strong leadership abilities, be structured, flexible, and independent, with explicit pedagogy as a foundational pillar. You feel confident creating relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You have a positive outlook and believe in each individual's will to develop and learn. You adapt instruction to each student's unique circumstances, and you see school development as a natural part of the teaching role. With high expectations, clarity, and a strong belief that all students can develop and reach their individual goals, you contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment. You find effective collaboration easily and see the work team as an important resource. Great weight is placed on personal suitability and the ability to create trusting relationships. Meritorious qualifications include further education in special education and/or experience working with students in need of special support, work in for example a resource school or special instruction group, and knowledge within autism spectrum areas and/or other neurodevelopmental conditions. Before you can be employed, you must provide a valid extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register that is no more than 6 months old.
