2 position(s). Bokenäs School is an adapted primary school opening in the fall. The school is located in the beautiful Lingenäset area surrounded by nature. At Bokenäs School, students from grades 1–9 are enrolled. The school also has an afterschool program. Students are offered education in a smaller setting with fewer stimuli. Bokenäs School is seeking two Afterschool Teachers. Within adapted primary education, the staff ratio is high and each class has a dedicated team consisting of special education teachers, afterschool/preschool teachers, and teaching assistants. Instruction is adapted to each student's individual needs with a focus on students' strengths. We strive for a holistic approach to each student and challenge them toward curiosity and increased independence. Your Role with Us With us, you will be responsible for teaching in the afterschool program and combine this with instruction or resource work for student groups studying subjects or subject areas. Your primary task is to create quality-assured instruction in the afterschool program and at school that is engaging and inspiring, in accordance with the curriculum's objectives. You will also work based on democratic values and incorporate what students want in the afterschool activities. To ensure the program follows a coherent thread regarding planning and various students' needs, you will collaborate with primary teachers and preschool teachers. Together with your colleagues, you will also be responsible for and lead outdoor activities and recess activities. Your relationships with students are characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, a trustful approach, and positive expectations. You are willing to set expectations for students and are clear about what is required. Documentation of the afterschool program is also part of your work. Furthermore, you are active in collegial learning and systematically reflect on your work both individually and with others, in relation to the program's objectives and influences from the outside world. Who Are We Looking For? You have a teaching license with the authorization to conduct instruction in afterschool programs in primary school, and we would appreciate it if you have subject authorization in music as part of your license. You are well acquainted with and uphold the professional ethical principles for teachers, and you have the ability to promote democratic values and recognize that all children/students are of equal worth. Additionally, you manage leadership in the afterschool program/classroom and work with goal-oriented management, planning, and documentation. You have the ability to inspire, create interest, and meet children at their level. The ability to select pedagogical tools based on individual needs is required in this work. You should be able to integrate digital technology in daily activities and as a tool in your own work. Your strong communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to collaborate are necessary to create trusting relationships with contacts inside and outside the school.
