WORK TASKS In your role as a teacher in the after-school care program at Brogårdaskolan, your primary task will be work in the after-school care facility, but this position also includes teaching home and consumer studies to students in grade 6. Teaching in home and consumer studies takes place in half-class groups. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creative activities, and movement. Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on after-school care activities based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to students' needs and prerequisites. You meet each student in their learning progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage student learning, participation, and influence. It is important that you create a good relationship with students, guardians, and colleagues, characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach, as well as positive and high expectations. QUALIFICATIONS I am seeking someone who is certified, or is awaiting their teaching certification, as a teacher with a focus on work in after-school care. You need to have qualifications in home and consumer studies to be suitable for this position. Meritorious qualifications include experience working in after-school care and with students in grades F-6, as well as experience teaching home and consumer studies. You are expected to be well-versed in the school's and after-school care's governing documents and mission. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operation in various ways. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Your view of students is characterized by respect and a belief that all children can and want to develop. You have high expectations of students and work actively for them to thrive in school and in after-school care. As a person, you are highly engaged, responsible, and attentive. In your leadership, you are confident and clear. The work requires flexibility and you possess a good ability to plan and prioritize your work tasks. You need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to quickly handle unforeseen situations that may arise in daily operations. Employment type: Permanent position.
