It is located in newly built premises that opened in 2020. The school is organized into four different home bases that are age-grade homogeneous. You work in a grade level with approximately 65 students. In the grade level, both leisure time center staff and F-3 teachers work. Your department has a large portion of these students enrolled with you. You are 6 people who work together at leisure time around these students. You are responsible for planning activities in a structured way and with the help of visual supports creating conditions for students to benefit from the activities' opportunities for learning and development based on the requirements of governing documents. You are expected to plan in the unit's planning templates digitally and you publish plans in good time in Unikum for guardians to access. We develop our language and knowledge development work at the leisure time center and ensure that everyone has a shared understanding of what the curriculum assignment means for all staff at the leisure time center. You are expected to collaborate with both your leisure time center colleagues and teacher colleagues, both leisure time teachers and F-3 teachers, to work together toward educational goals. You should have experience working in multilingual environments and have worked with language development students. You need to have knowledge and experience working with students with different needs for special support within such areas as neuropsychiatric conditions. We work together with evaluations and follow-ups to see that our plans take us in the direction our students need to reach set goals. You speak and write fluent Swedish and you master English in speech and writing. Challenges and opportunities We have a large student group and a well-staffed department. High expectations are placed on organizational ability and to maintain and sustain so that routines are well implemented by adults for the students' sake. We have clear expectations for leisure time pedagogical work and see the time at the leisure time center as the main assignment of the three core assignments: afternoon time, break time, and scheduled class time. We see collaboration as several different parts. Leisure time center and school should collaborate during scheduled class time and during leisure time center time, and collaboration should focus on student learning and well-being. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with curriculum content in your department and you are also responsible for the administrative aspects of the department you oversee. Work tasks are distributed among all team members in the department. If you have subject certification, you may teach in that subject during school hours if needed at the school, otherwise you participate in and can be responsible for parts of scheduled class time content based on your competence. You have planning time together with other leisure time teachers and school management, you have planning time together with your department, and you have personal planning time for your work and your department's assignments. The grade level's staff from school and leisure time have a morning meeting once a week. The entire leisure time center meets every week, and once a month we have planning evenings with school and leisure time center by grade level. What you need to bring Requirements You have teacher certification as a primary teacher in leisure time or equivalent teacher certification for leisure time centers. Employment form, scope, and start date Employment form: Permanent Scope: Full-time Start date: August 26, 2026, or by agreement For this role, the starting salary normally falls between 37,000-41,000 SEK depending on experience and competence.
