Gärsnäs School has an after-school care program with approximately 70 enrolled students. The school has a wonderful schoolyard with plenty of space for activities and other educational activities. We currently have 140 students distributed from preschool class through grade 6. We work in a preventive and supportive manner throughout the school and have an active and present student welfare team. Here there is plenty of room—we laugh often, support each other, and work together toward established goals. We believe that enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy are important prerequisites for learning. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher in after-school care with us, you will have a key role in creating a meaningful, developmental, and safe after-school activity for our students. Together with dedicated colleagues, you plan and conduct instruction based on the curriculum and governing documents, always with the student's learning and well-being in focus. You are passionate about meeting each student where they are. Through your pedagogical leadership, you support students' knowledge development while strengthening their self-esteem, social skills, and desire to learn. You find creative strategies that help each student grow. With us, you become part of a team where collaboration is central. Together, we create an after-school activity filled with joy, community, and varied activities that inspire play, learning, and new discoveries. Your ability to plan and carry out engaging activities is an important part of our shared success. During the school day, you work closely with a mentor in the classroom. You collaborate with teachers and the student welfare team and are an important part of adapting instruction based on students' needs. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in after-school care and has experience working in after-school care. If you also have experience working with students in need of special support, we consider that a merit. You have a genuine interest in after-school care development and want to actively contribute to ensuring that students at Gärsnäs School are offered high-quality and meaningful after-school activity. You are an active and initiative-taking person who has the ability to plan, organize, and carry out activities both independently and together with colleagues. You also want to be part of driving and developing the after-school care's operations forward. In your professional role, you use your skills and experience to ensure that instruction in the after-school care has a clear connection to the school's governing documents and is based on students' needs and the skills that the activity should develop.
