JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for a math/science teacher for our CSU team, central special education group. Are you passionate about children and young people's learning and development? Do you feel it would be exciting to be part of a small team working with children and young people who have difficulties succeeding and developing in school? Then this could be the position for you! The Children and Education Sector in Säters municipality started a small central special education group for students in grades 4-9 in August 2025, located at Dahlanders Knowledge Center. A team of three staff members, two teachers and one coordinator, under the leadership of central Student Welfare managers, has started the operations together. The maximum number of students at CSU is set at 15 students, and currently 6 students have received their education in this group. Interviews for this position will be held continuously to ensure all staff are in place for the school start on August 10, 2026. Therefore, do not delay submitting your application! Interviews will be held in two stages where in stage two you will answer a fictional case. Work as a teacher in the central education group involves planning and implementing instruction for students in grades 4-9. You will work from the course and curriculum in the subjects you are responsible for. Assessment of students' knowledge is documented in our learning platform Schoolsoft. Since the work also involves initiatives related to student welfare, documentation also takes place in the municipality's child and student welfare journal system Prorenata. Based on the students' needs and conditions, you as a teacher will plan and implement both individual and group instruction. Collaboration will occur continuously with the student's regular school as the principal continues to have overall responsibility for the students even though they attend CSU. Designated personnel from CSU follow up action plans and reintegration plans together with the principal and staff from the student's regular school. Overall coordination of the CSU staff team is delegated to the coordinator position. Collaboration with external actors such as social services and child and adolescent psychiatry often occurs around students placed at CSU. This requires you to be resourceful and able to easily create new relationships and networks to collaborate for the child's best interests. If you also find it interesting to develop an operation, its structure and working methods, you will have the opportunity to drive this together with the rest of the team in this position. QUALIFICATIONS Licensed teacher You must be a licensed teacher. It is meritorious if you have knowledge in math/science subjects and for grades 4-9 Documented knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders You have documented knowledge and experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders Documented knowledge of low-affective approach It is meritorious if you have documented knowledge and experience working with low-affective approach You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and with others.
