Håsta School is located in the western part of Hudiksvall near nature, forest, and an urban environment, and is a school full of activity and forward-thinking spirit. The staff at the school has high qualifications and works with motivation and system to develop both teaching and learning for all students, a good learning climate, and accessible learning environments. We have a multi-year collaboration with researchers from Umeå University on Test-Based Learning as part of our work to create sustainable learning for all students built on extensive international research on the brain and memory. Other parts of our teaching are based on, among other things, Genre Pedagogy for language and learning, and NTA - Nature and Technology for All. The school's lead teacher directs systematic quality work regarding subject development with a connection to the municipality's subject leader network. The school has a coordinated student support team consisting of a special education teacher, special education specialist, counselor, school nurse, and principal who work together to support students' learning, health, and development. We are a wonderful team that collaborates, tries new approaches, and maintains high quality in all parts of our operations! Job Responsibilities We are now looking for someone with a degree and who is a certified teacher for grades 4-6 with qualifications in mathematics, science, and technology. You are familiar with the curriculum and confident in your role and the tasks involved in the position. You are communicative and have a strong ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Together with your other colleagues, you take shared responsibility for the operations and contribute to well-being and community. You work strategically and systematically for high goal achievement, safety, and an environment conducive to learning. Each student should feel unique with us, take responsibility for their own learning, the school's environment, and our shared resources. Our starting point is always students' strengths and abilities. We work to ensure that all students feel safe and that all children are everyone's responsibility. At our school, safety is in focus and we create good relationships where we work to ensure that each student feels seen, safe, and affirmed by the adults at the school. We adults are and should be good role models for our students. The work includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities in accordance with decided goals and guidelines. You help create environments to promote students' communication, curiosity, and activity in various areas. Outdoor activities and movement are an important part of our operations. You plan and are responsible for recess activities. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to creating a school where everyone feels safe and seen as a student, guardian, and staff member. Your Profile You should be a certified teacher for grades 4-6 in the subjects of mathematics, science, technology, and English, and have a strong desire to develop yourself and others. We place great importance on collaboration skills and personal suitability. About the Department We teach children to read, count, and discover the world around them. Here we follow our youngest residents from preschool until they graduate from upper secondary school. Through our adult education, people can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue longer studies.
