JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a preschool class teacher, you will work to give students a good start in life in Eda municipality and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. The preschool class activities are governed by school legislation and the curriculum. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for promoting student development and learning during their time in preschool class. You will work together with your colleagues in the F-3 team. As a preschool teacher, you have the primary pedagogical responsibility in the preschool class. Using the curriculum as a starting point, all preschool teachers at the unit share responsibility for implementing the governing documents in daily work. Daily work with students includes a special focus on stimulating all students' language development. This includes contact with guardians and planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up as well as evaluation of activities according to established goals and guidelines. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for: • linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technical, and aesthetic learning and development. • work with practical forms of expression such as art, music, and drama where movement, play, and interaction are in focus. • planning instruction, with help from others in your team based on the preschool class curriculum. • creating opportunities for exploration, play, and learning where student influence is given space. • student learning and development with special focus on reading, writing, and mathematics learning. • thematic work based on common threads and progression through activities over extended periods. • contact, dialogue, and collaboration with guardians regarding influence in the student's daily life in preschool class. • implementing pedagogical adaptations in the student group's physical, pedagogical, and social learning environments. • making adjustments based on the student group's different needs or to stimulate students requiring special support appropriately. • collaborating with other teams at the unit and professions within and outside the activity. • ensuring that students' needs are respected and met and that they experience their own worth. • applying a democratic approach where students actively participate. • actively incorporate a gender equality perspective so that all students have equal opportunities for expanded perspectives and choices. • based on the curriculum's value foundation, develop norms and approaches for work and coexistence in the student group. • through active participation, create a professional approach within the team. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree from a preschool teacher program or awaiting your preschool teacher certification with authorization to teach in preschool/preschool class. It is advantageous if you have previous work experience from similar work in preschools or equivalent work with children in preschool or school. You should be well familiar with, knowledgeable about, and work to realize the curriculum's goals. You have experience with and master digital tools in your work. Furthermore, you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing based on the preschool's documentation requirements. It is desirable if you can handle Edlevo and have experience with systematic quality work. If you have experience working with language and knowledge-developing methods, this is considered advantageous. You are organized and structured, as well as driven in your professional role and have a strong drive to keep the development of the pedagogical environment alive. Your child focus is clear and reflected in your daily approach. In your role as a preschool teacher, you have a strong will and great capacity to improve and develop activities based on established goals. You are open to learning from and with other colleagues. You have collaboration skills and dare to challenge yourself and your colleagues in work with children. In collaboration with others, you have an unpretentious approach and focus on the common goal in the activity. Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
