Väderstad School is a school with an attached after-school program. The school has approximately 17 staff members and together we are responsible for approximately 125 students from preschool class through grade 6. Our staff includes teachers at the beginning of their careers as well as teachers with many years of experience in the profession. Väderstad School has partially renovated facilities and a large schoolyard that offers opportunities for varied activities. Are you our new colleague for the fall term? 1 position(s). WORK TASKS In your role as teacher, you will work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based education according to the curriculum. You collaborate with the school's various professionals to support students' learning. You are part of a work team where you systematically work together to develop the school. Based on established goals, you will ensure students receive the best possible development—both academically and socially—and actively influence and encourage students to achieve the goals. As a teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school and after-school program also collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You work from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction that meets the requirements of school law, curriculum, course plans, and subject plans. You must be subject-knowledgeable, mentor students, plan and lead instruction, and assess knowledge development. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To support students' learning and your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of different professionals' experiences and knowledge. QUALIFICATIONS You hold a primary teacher degree with specialization in preschool class and grades 1-6 and teacher certification. You uphold good ethics and sound values. You can deliver presentations, lectures, and training and adapt them to the audience's needs and feedback. You have the ability to plan and organize your work.
