DUTIES Are you a certified teacher in Swedish, SVA, English and French who wants to work long-term and relationally to create safety, trust and motivation? At Titanskolan, which is Landskrona city's resource school, we work strategically to counteract the obstacles and consequences that neuropsychiatric disabilities can have on learning, participation and social development. We design instruction, conduct and learning environment with great care and with student safety and motivation in focus. You will work close to the students, with clear structure and predictability in teaching. In this role, mentorship is of great importance. You will have fewer mentor students than in a traditional school environment, since mentorship is one of the key factors for our students, both socially and academically. You will work long-term and relationally and closely follow students in their development over time. You will be responsible for the student's entire school day in collaboration with your colleagues. Your responsibilities include, among other things: • Independently plan, conduct and evaluate teaching in grades 4-9. • Participate in the team's joint planning, development work and collegial discussions. • Be an active member of the team where you take great responsibility for student well-being. • Collaborate with colleagues, student services and guardians to create sustainable solutions for student development and well-being, and participate in driving operational development. • Mentorship involves working closely with the student both academically and socially. You follow the student's development, create clear support structures, help the student manage the school day and collaborate closely with guardians, student services and colleagues. • Be able to meet students in distress or stress with calm, clarity and always a low-intensity approach. We are looking for someone who is creative and likes to find new solutions, while working with long-term perspectives, foresight and predictability in your work. You should also be able to handle students in distress with a low-intensity approach. You enjoy meeting others and create lasting and good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. You need to have a collaborative attitude that actively contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment where we reach our goals together. We also see that you are responsive and have a constant curiosity about how learning environments can be developed and have a good ability to collaborate with others to create sustainable solutions. You need to have a good understanding of how students with neuropsychiatric functional variations are affected by demands, environment, social contexts and changes, and be able to adapt your conduct and teaching and planning for students' school exposure based on prerequisites and needs. Competency Requirements • You need to be a certified teacher with broad certification and/or it is meritorious to have certification to teach Swedish, SVA and English. • The position also requires that you master Swedish in speech and writing. • Experience in teaching and good experience in mentorship is a requirement as it is significantly more intensive and demanding at Titanskolan. Mentorship is considerably broader and more relationship-intensive than in a traditional school environment. • Extensive experience working with students on the autism spectrum and other neuropsychiatric functional variations.
