Vikaskolan is a K–6 school with approximately 130 students and one class per grade level, plus two after-school care units with approximately 75 enrolled students. The school is located in the scenic Vika area, approximately 15 km from central Falun. The proximity to forests, sports facilities, and nature provides excellent opportunities to work with outdoor education and create varied and inspiring instruction. Responsibilities We are looking for someone who wants to work as a class teacher at the intermediate level with responsibility for your own class. Your duties will include: Planning, conducting, and following up on instruction based on curriculum guidelines. Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Adapting instruction to meet the different needs and circumstances of students. Assessing and documenting student learning progress. Conducting development conversations in close dialogue with students and guardians. Collaborating with colleagues in your work team and throughout the school. You will work closely with your colleagues in your team to create a cohesive, safe, and developmental school day for students, where you collectively take responsibility for both academic development and the students' social environment. Qualifications The role requires: Teaching certification with authorization to teach grades 4–6 Driver's license (Category B) Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who: Is confident and clear in your leadership role Has good initiative and is responsible Is engaged, attentive, and flexible Has the ability to meet each student according to their needs Views student learning from a holistic perspective Builds good relationships with students and guardians You are well versed in school curriculum guidelines and have good digital competence.
