The Fire and Rescue Service continues its development for the future and has recently taken the final step to have all firefighters and officers employed in combination duty. We now need to hire additional firefighters to ensure sufficient staffing and account for upcoming retirements. That's why we're looking for you to help develop Landskrona Fire and Rescue Service. The new recruitment is part of developing our operational capacity, both in peacetime and during heightened readiness, where we invest in skills development for our officers and firefighters and have new vehicles with the latest technology. In addition to traditional fire and rescue operations, the division "Public Safety and Security" also includes civil defense and crisis preparedness, and is part of the "City Executive Office." The office reports directly to the Municipal Board. The Fire and Rescue Service is the largest part of the division and will have 57 full-time employees after the recruitment. Of these, 52 people are involved in fire and rescue operations (the operational rescue team), consisting of 6 firefighters, one team leader, and one incident commander (who is also incident commander in Svalöv). All officers and firefighters work in combination duty where, in addition to their operational duties, they also have daytime shifts with tasks such as internal training, external training, inspections, operational planning, vehicles, equipment, and civil defense. Working combination duty with us means working a rotating 6-week schedule that includes 11 daytime shifts and 7 24-hour shifts evenly distributed throughout the weeks. During 12 summer weeks, we work a traditional rotating 4-week schedule with only operational duty. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for you who want to work as a firefighter in Landskrona city and contribute to a safer society both in operational work and in prevention. As a firefighter, you join the operational rescue team where you participate in emergency responses and work to develop both your own and the organization's competence. The work is varied and requires teamwork, responsibility, and good physical fitness. In addition to operational work, you will also have tasks in the field of hazard prevention. This may include: • Conducting training and information activities • Meeting and guiding citizens in various contexts • Contributing to preventive safety work Which tasks you will perform during your daytime shifts when you are not in the operational team depends on the fire and rescue service's needs and your areas of interest as well as your competence.
