Within the administration, we work to develop and maintain the municipality's traffic systems and public environments. The administration consists of five departments and approximately 145 dedicated employees. Together we work with everything from planning and regulatory authority to projects, production, operations, and business support. The position is placed in the Infrastructure and Public Environments department within the Port and Street Administration. We work with social benefit and sustainable management, where our task is to both create new safe, attractive, and functional environments – and at the same time take good care of the public spaces we already have. RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a landscape engineer, you will primarily work with the management of the municipality's green public environments. You will have an exciting and varied job with development and long-term maintenance of, for example, playgrounds, swimming areas, and other nature and park land. In the role, you will have a coordinating function in the department and work together with other managers within streets, ports, and colleagues within planning, construction, and operations. Together you will develop the approach for long-term and sustainable management of our outdoor environments. The position includes, among other things: • Coordinate and develop the management of the municipality's public environments • Coordinate work on developing and implementing maintenance plans • Map our facilities and formulate goals for different areas • Contribute your expertise in green space management, plant knowledge, and management of green environments You will also handle questions and feedback from the public, which requires professional and service-oriented conduct. The goal of the management role is to: • Ensure long-term value in the municipality's facilities • Create good knowledge about our assets • Reduce the need for urgent measures through planned management QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has or is: • A landscape architect, landscape engineer, or has other equivalent education • Experience working in land management, with a focus on green space maintenance • Good understanding of how maintenance and care levels can be balanced based on economy and function • Experience working with geodata in the QGIS software • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is a merit if you have: • Experience working in the public sector • Experience in tree care As a person, you are collaborative, responsive, and flexible. You have an easy time building good relationships and communicating both internally and externally. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and complete your tasks with good quality.
