Strömsunds Pastorat is a large rural pastorat consisting of seven congregations. We have 31 employees who care for and support our parishioners and holiday visitors. We are part of Härnösand Diocese. The congregations in Strömsunds Pastorat value an inclusive and warm community. Here we have mountains, lakes, and forests - an environment that inspires and energizes the congregations' broad work. We are a Sámi administrative municipality and have the responsibility to work together with Sámi associations and the municipality to develop collaboration and preserve the cultural character that exists in our pastorat. Musical life with several choirs, combined with the mission of the Church of Sweden, is important for our congregations and something we look forward to developing further. Diaconal work is a large and important part of a rural pastorat. We have good children's and confirmation programs, as well as young leaders. We are looking for someone who is confident in yourself, stable, and has good self-awareness. You motivate and engage employees by creating participation and direction with a leadership style characterized by presence, active listening, and dialogue. You actively collaborate with elected representatives at different levels, where knowledge and respect for each other's missions and roles are essential. You get to know the parishioners and appreciate the unique character of the different congregations. You are also responsible for encouraging and utilizing volunteers in the congregation/pastorat in a way that builds up and develops congregational life. You see employees' competence and qualities as an important force in the pastorat's way forward. Through clear, consistent, and empathetic leadership, you lead the pastorat. This means you distinguish between management and leadership and can lead, coordinate, and delegate to achieve common goals effectively, where collaboration with elected representatives is an important part of your mission. With clarity, drive, and perseverance, you continue this work on the pastorat's exciting and obvious development. As a person, you are organized and can manage and prioritize work for the benefit of the operations in a larger perspective. Therefore, you need to be able to communicate clearly - ensure and follow up that messages reach and are understood by employees. You follow the Church Order. As parish priest, you lead all activities in the pastorat based on your ordination vows. You are deeply rooted in the Church of Sweden's faith, confession, and doctrine and have the ability for theological reflection and oversight of the pastorat's activities. As a spiritual leader, you can place the church's organization and administration in a theological context, while actively maintaining and strengthening ecumenical relationships. Qualifications Ordained priest in the Church of Sweden and have completed parish priest training. Several years of experience leading a larger congregation/pastorat, where indirect leadership and management of other managers/staff is a natural part of the assignment, as well as leading management group work. Experience with work involving finances, budgets, and operational planning as well as personnel and employer matters. Experience with property and burial matters. Experience working with visions, goal-oriented management, and follow-up in congregation/pastorat and ability to realize overarching theoretical goals in the pastorat's activities. Good knowledge of church regulations as well as employment law and work environment, including pastoral responsibility and basic frameworks for burial operations. Good digital skills. Class B driver's license.
