Employment Type: For the duration of the assignment or as needed. About the Workplace Kurera Omsorg is now seeking staff for our clients in Hultsfred and Vimmerby. Working hours are irregular and include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call nights. Some positions may also involve shared staffing. Work scope is either scheduled or temporary/substitute positions. Employment is for the duration of the assignment or as needed. We prefer that you are smoke-free and understand that our clients or coworkers may be sensitive to strong odors or allergies may be present among clients or in the work group. Training and orientation are provided at the workplace during the introduction period. As a personal assistant, you should be comfortable working closely with the client in all areas where they need assistance—showering, toileting, dressing/undressing, transfers, etc. You should also be able to participate in their leisure activities or hobbies. You may need to accompany the client on trips or visits to family and friends, which could mean being away from home for shorter or longer periods. Previous experience with medical aids such as insulin, inhalers, cough machines, etc. is a plus but not required. The same applies to other types of aids like lifts or turners. Knowledge and experience with TAKK sign language as an alternative communication method, picture boards, etc. are advantageous. Some of our clients prefer that you have a driver's license; it may also be necessary for you to have a car to get to and from work. You should be comfortable working in someone else's home where family members and children may be present. You should be in good physical condition as some positions may involve patient transfers and heavy lifting. We appreciate a positive attitude and the desire to make your client's daily life as good as possible.
